Although I don't have a lot to say this week, I thought it would be fun to share a couple art pieces I've done this past week. I wanted to see what a couple little woodland creatures would look like wrapped in scarves to keep them warm.
I think maybe I should name her Amelia? She turned out somewhat fluffy looking, which makes me happy, as I've never been able to depict fluff very well in the past. Additonally, her scarf has some movement to it, which is exciting, though it doesn't look as much like real fabric as I liked. But I learn more with each piece, so maybe I'll get it better next time.
And here is a squirrel...I believe Ellie is a good name for her. I like how her hands are holding this scarf. Having a character interact with an object is something I have found to be difficult, so this is another step towards learning how to do it better!
So, although it's 84º here in Texas today, these guys make winter seem closer. I enjoyed painting them so much, I'll probably make some more scarf clothed animals :)
Hopefully next week I will have some really exciting news to share! Until next time, happy Reformation day, and Soli Deo Gloria friends.
I just love that fluffy bunny! I can see why she brings a smile to your face!
