The Story of “Joy Enduring” The 2026 Calendar

Updated: 2 days ago

Update, October 17, 2025-- The Joy Enduring Calendar is now available on the website for purchase, and will ship out immediately. Now, back to the story!

Hello Friends! With only two days left to preorder the 2026 calendar, I thought I would take a minute to tell you just a little about the story behind it!

In March I began praying about the calendar for 2026, asking the Lord to inspire me with what to draw for this coming year. Soon, He began bringing ideas into my mind for new paintings with a renewed purpose behind them. I found there was a verse or line of a hymn for every piece, every month. And the united story of the calendar grew to be one that I have found more and more vital over the past 6 years, that of the joy given by Christ, a joy which endures through all times, all seasons, all trials, and all victories. A joy that never wavers, but which makes itself known in the biggest and smallest things.

When I look at this calendar I see the ways His love is never absent, and so often seen and felt through the beautiful things He gives us in our day to day. A nest full of baby swallows, growing into adults and swooping effortlessly around the porch as a family—a garden of brilliant and varied echinacea flowers, with their curious spiky centers—a hen raising her little chicks—dream worlds of a sword in an autumn forest, or a boat on a peaceful lake—all these things are gifts, real or imagined, and they are so abundantly given by the Lord to His children.

All in all this calendar is my most adventurous, yet purposeful piece yet. I have painted little else this year aside from pieces for it, and although there were many moments where I felt it was not good enough, or that I would not have enough ideas to finish it, the Lord continued to carry me through, and the result is a testament to His loving kindness and provision, and most certainly His glory!

If you would like a calendar this year, now is a great time to order. Preorders will be open until the end of Sunday, after which I will be putting in my final order with the print shop. I am ordering fewer calendars this year, so if you would like to be sure to get one, place your order here! You will be able to order again within the next few weeks, but due to the limited quantity I am stocking this year, I can’t guarantee there will be one available.

If you’re not interested in ordering but still want to view the pieces, I have created a gallery just for you :)

Thank you for reading, Soli Deo Gloria, friends!
