An ancient Japanese metal smithing technique, mokume gane has been the inspiration for a polymer clay technique which allows for these gorgeous rippling colored bands running through the clay. 
 
Each earring is made of polymer clay, and hung on either a stainless steel hook or a sterling silver plated hook.
